Hi there! Thank you for visiting our church's web page. I'm the Rev. Esther Hargis, the pastor of FBCB.
You can probably tell from the photo on our home page that we're a diverse bunch. We are active in our community, both as a congregation and as individuals. As a congregation we have a covenant relationship with Habitat for Humanity, and we walk in the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade every year. We do these things and many others as our way of witnessing to God's inclusive love. As individuals, we also live out our faith in our work, whether that is teaching classes or doing art work, working with our hands or working with computers, spending our work days in a lab or outdoors.
If I could preach only one sermon, it would be this: God loves you. No matter who you are, or where you're from. No one is outside of the love of God. This is the good news I preach on Sunday mornings. It is the good news we witness to in our ministry and in our lives. Come join us for worship some Sunday morning and check us out!
